This Cookie Policy explains how Blina Desk ("Service") uses cookies and similar technologies when you access our platform.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They serve various purposes such as remembering your preferences, maintaining your session, and ensuring the website functions correctly.

2. Cookies We Use

Blina Desk uses only strictly necessary cookies that are essential for the operation of the Service. We do not use any tracking, analytics, advertising, or third-party marketing cookies.

The cookies we set

NamePurposeDurationReadable by scripts
blina_tokenKeeps you signed in. Contains a signed token (JWT) holding your user id, your role and the id of the company account you are working in. It is signed, not encrypted: the contents can be read but not altered, and it travels only over TLS.7 daysNo (httpOnly)
blina_tenant_idRemembers which company account you selected, so that preferences stored in your browser stay separated per account.Up to 30 daysYes
_tid_okTechnical marker recording that the account cookie above has already been set, so it is not rewritten on every request. Contains the value 1 and nothing else.30 daysYes

Local storage

Besides cookies, Blina Desk stores preferences in your browser's local storage. German law (§ 25 TDDDG) treats this the same way it treats cookies, so it belongs in this document. What is stored: your interface language, table and column preferences, which panels you left open, whether you have already seen a guided tour, and drafts of text you were typing.

This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed when you clear the site data in your browser. Your language choice is stored here, not in a cookie.

Cloudflare Cookies (if applicable)

If you access the Service through Cloudflare's network, Cloudflare may set security-related cookies to identify trusted web traffic, protect against malicious visitors, and ensure the proper functioning of security features. These cookies are set by Cloudflare and are strictly necessary for security purposes. For more information, see Cloudflare's cookie documentation.

3. Cookies We Do Not Use

For clarity, Blina Desk does not use:

  • Analytics or performance cookies (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Advertising or retargeting cookies
  • Third-party tracking cookies
  • Social media cookies

4. Cookie Consent

Under § 25 (2) TDDDG— the German law that governs storing information on your device, and which replaced the TTDSG under that name on 14 May 2024 — consent is not required where the storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly requested. Everything described in section 2, cookies and local storage alike, falls into that category, so we do not display a cookie banner. The subsequent processing of the data is governed by Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR.

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and implement an appropriate consent mechanism before deploying them.

5. How to Manage Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View which cookies are stored on your device.
  • Delete individual cookies or all cookies.
  • Block cookies from specific or all websites.
  • Configure notifications when a cookie is set.

Please note that blocking or deleting our session cookie will prevent you from logging in and using the Service. Your language preference is not stored in a cookie: clearing your browser's site data resets it to the default.

For instructions on managing cookies in your browser, consult your browser's help documentation or visit aboutcookies.org.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If we introduce non-essential cookies, we will notify you and request your consent as required by law.
